Applying for admission to CSUB is easy!

All prospective students must apply through CSUMentor, the California State University website designed to help students through each phase of their application process. CSUMentor is also a great way to begin planning for college and to keep track of your academic progress. Many college planning resources are available on CSUMentor. The standard admission application fee is $55, but there is no additional charge to use CSUMentor.

First Time Freshmen

Applicants who have earned a high school diploma or G.E.D. but have never attended a college or university since high school are considered first-time freshmen. 

Transfer Students

Applicants who have attended a college or university at least one full quarter/semester after graduation from high school are considered for transfer admission.

Post-Baccalaureate and Graduate Applicants

Applicants who have a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution are considered for post baccalaureate or graduate admission.

International Students

Applicants who are seeking or currently holding U.S. visas as exchange visitors or other nonimmigrant classifications are considered international students. 

Veterans

Special educational benefits are available to veterans and dependents of veterans who are eligible for the Montgomery GI Bill.
